Avocolada Copycat Smoothie Recipe

Lately I’ve been obsessed with the Avocolada from Tropical Smoothie. It’s the perfect blend of tropical flavors and healthy fats with leafy greens all mixed in - Yes Please! But I couldn't afford to go spend the money to get one as often as I would like to - so I knew I had to recreate it at home.

It wasn’t difficult to figure out - I made some tweaks to cut down on the sugar content so this one is less sweet than the original - and SO good!

Not to mention that gorgeous green color!

Let’s talk about the benefits of the ingredients in this smoothie (I don’t know about you, but that’s my favorite part!)

First, we have the hero! Avocado! A great source of healthy fats, obviously. But there is so much more to these beautiful green fruits. They are a great source of vitamins A, C, K, E, B6, riboflavin, magnesium, potassium, niacin, folate, riboflavin and pantothenic acid. They have omega-3 fatty acids, beta carotene - and the healthy fats will help you to feel full for longer. Don’t be afraid of the fats in Avocados! They are beneficial to your health and wellness.

Pineapples are another great ingredient here that has enzymes that may help aid in digestion. They also contains high amounts of manganese and vitamin C, as well as many other vitamins and antioxidants.

I used a mix of kale and spinach in this recipe.

Kale is full of important nutrients and antioxidants — like vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin K, folate, alpha-linolenic acid (an omega -3 fatty acid), quercetin, kaempferol and SO MUCH MORE! It’s a powerhouse green and worth having in your diet.

Spinach is very anti-inflammatory and also contains many vitamins, nutrients and antioxidants. Like Kale, it also contains vitamins K, A and C—as well as folate, kaempferol, quercetin and so much more!

Regularly consuming these leafy greens is greatly beneficial to your overall health and wellness. And a simple way to do that is with smoothies!

Another key ingredient in this smoothie is coconut water! One of my absolute favorite drinks when I need to hydrate and replenish electrolytes. Can’t say enough good things about coconut water!

I hope all of these wonderful benefits get you to fall in love with smoothies and you can make them a part of your regular routine! Drink up and enjoy!
