Joyful January Week Three: Kids Joy Scavenger Hunt

It’s important for us to model and teach our kids about joy and what living a joyful life means. I made a fun activity that you can do with your kids to open up the conversation about joy and then a few conversation starting questions - so that you can see how well your kids understand what joy really means.

I encourage you to go back and look a the 10 joy scriptures from week one here and spend some time researching and asking God to show you what biblical joy is.

You can also sit your kids down after the scavenger hunt and ask them these heart probing questions…

  1. What do think of when you think of joy?

  2. What does it mean to be joyful?

  3. Why do you think that God wants us to be joyful even in hard times? What does that look like?

And I encourage that you have your kids share 3 things that they are grateful for. This will center their hearts in a place of gratitude.
