As I am writing this, we are finally having a sunny beautiful day after a week of rain and being stuck indoors. Needless to say, it’s time for an outside activity.

We had planned on going to the Zoo for our first “Field Trip Tuesday” of the Summer - but the dreary weather got in the way.

Thankfully the weather is now fantastic and the boys are even more excited to get out!

I threw together a super fun game and wanted to share it with all you amazing mommas out there that are trying to keep their kiddos engaged and learning throughout the Summer. You can download our Zoo Scavenger hunt below!

This simple fun game was a huge hit with my boys! My 6-year-old, Aiden, enjoyed it the most! He loved checking to see which animals were endangered and whether or not they were carnivores or herbivores.

How To Play

The game is super simple! Just download your Zoo Scavenger Hunt printable and put it on a clipboard with a pen. I also recommend printing out the map for the Zoo. *We have a wide variety of animals at our Zoo so I made this printable based on some of the animals we have available here

Then check off as you go, one checkmark means you’ve found the animal and two means you’ve read the information about that animal. Our Zoo has a lot of informative signs for plenty of learning opportunities!

And that’s it! It’s the perfect way to get through the Zoo and keep the kids really engaged in learning more!

I hope this is a great activity for you to do with your kiddos and as always, stay joyful Momma!
